I am a very visual person, so I made sure to include lots of visual "how-to" shots to guide you through the applique techniques. (P.S. mom was my hand model!)

Whatever stage of applique you are at, there is a pattern for you to try. For someone new to applique, this Starter Bouquet is an excellent beginning point. Pick and choose any flower head in the book and add it to the easy illustrated intertwined stems. This quilt shown, is Diane Brush's of Milford, PA. It is her very first attempt at applique.

Here is an example of the stemwork used for "Starter Bouquet" where you would add a flower unit like Diane did in the picture of her quilt above

The pattern Sun Dance shows a fine example of happy, colorful and large pieces to work with for your flower bouquet. I also will show you how to easily set these beauties in circles and ovals!

Easy to follow illustrations for stitching order.
A gorgeous example of setting a bouquet in an oval..once again..nice easy large pieces that only give the appearance of difficulty
Each pattern has large illustrations to make everything nice and easy for you. Learning how to make and use your own unique bias tape will be a snap after looking at the how to pictures. Here is an example of "Sophia" appliqued by Judy Brumbaugh of Milford, PA
